hi lovelies! we are out and about in nyc for an event but just had to share this perfect backyard wedding captured by oh darling photography. the simplicity of this celebration puts a smile on our faces. here is a little inside scoop from the bride herself….
from the very beginning, we knew we wanted to have a party, not an overdone wedding. so when my brother mentioned that it would be cool to have a wedding in their yard, we jumped at the chance. my mom and aunt hand cut + sewed each piece of bunting that hung by the ceremony and inside the tent! plus hand cut the runners for our tables. we collected jars for the flowers from all over and our florist/friend planted flowers in her yard in our colors months prior to the wedding and assembled tons of bouquets to run down the table. a friend played banjo during the ceremony and another friend surprised us with the handmade wooden e + k signs that hung on the tree by the ceremony and over the dance floor. overall this wedding was a labor of love from the bride + groom to their dear family and friends and it all came together so beautifully. congrats to e + k!
